Dr. Daniel Cleland is a 2009 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. His medical interests include surgery, dentistry and dermatology. “I believe that animals have an important relationship with people,” said Dr. Cleland, who enjoys running and spending time with his wife, two daughters and dog Sully. “Keeping animals healthy and happy serves both the pets and their families.”
Dr. Erica Freihaut was born and raised in Marietta, GA. She did her undergraduate studies at Emory University and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. From there, she attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2010. Her veterinary interests include dentistry, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and strengthening the human-animal bond. In her free time, Dr. Freihaut enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, traveling internationally, playing trivia, scrapbooking, and taking her two dogs, Tasha and Roman, to the park.
Dr. Anusha Natarajan was born in Texas and raised in Acowrth, GA. She completed her Bachelors at Emory University and her veterinary medical degree at the University of Georgia in 2007. After working in mixed animal practice with livestock and small animals in rural western Pennsylvania, she then worked for three years in an emergency practice in Pittsburgh PA. recently Dr. Anusha decided to move back home to Georgia and joined Briarcliff Animal Clinic of College Park in August 2016. She enjoys playing tennis, travelling and being a part of the local community with her two dogs Blake and Thurman.
An Atlantan through and through, Jessica has been around animals her entire life. She worked at Banfield for five years before joining the Briarcliff Staff in 2008. While at Banfield, she trained for client service coordinator, technician, and practice management positions and has covered all three of these positions during her stay there. She says, “The corporate position prepared me for running a quality practice, but I love private practice for the community feel and personal level it provides.” Jessica has four cats and two dogs at home, with three of these animals coming from College Park rescues. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys horseback riding, camping, and spending time with her husband and family.
Client Service Coordinators
Monica was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up taking her family pets to Briarcliff Animal Clinic and has worked at a Briarcliff location for four years. Her passion for animals and their relationship to people goes beyond the clinic. She has a Masters degree in Community Counseling and works with a private practice in Marietta when she isn’t working here. She uses what she knows of the animal world in counseling by promoting the use of Pet-Assisted Therapy to those who experience mental illness. In her downtime, Monica enjoys spending time with her two cats (adopted from Briarcliff), Mazzy and Shortie, and her maroon-bellied conure Archie.
Minkah has worked in the animal service industry for many years. She is returning to her roots here in Atlanta coming all the way from California. Passionate about serving as the connection between pets, people, and doctors, she enjoys serving animals by being their advocate. She enjoys spending time with her family and karaoke.
No stranger to the South Side, Anna graduated from Woodward Academy and from Georgia Southern University. She has long been involved with many rescue organizations and has successfully fostered and rehomed many furry friends. Anna also enjoys spending time with her dog Ollie and spending time with her family.
As a registered nurse who cares for premature and ill infants, Donna is coming to us from the human side of the medical field. She is currently pursuing veterinary technician status and training through Penn Foster college. She and her husband currently have four cats, all of which are rescued.
Emily is a Woodward Academy graduate and is currently studying biomedical engineering at Georgia Tech. When she is at home she spends her time with her two dogs Annie and Daisy, a Briarcliff rescue.
Raised in Historic College Park, Ashleigh has two pets she rescued: a cockatiel named Luckey – found outside perched on a bush, and Goldie – a terrier mix who was thrown from a car in a parking lot. She enjoys staying active and spending time with family, friends, and her very fortunate pets.
Currently a student at Georgia State, Kristina is pursuing veterinary medicine long term. She loves spending time with her rambunctious rescue dog, Bruce, and is passionate about shelter medicine.
Kasey grew up in the country no to far south of here. When not holding wiggly doggies and kitties, Kasey enjoys spending time with her four rescue furbabies and horseback riding. She hopes to further her education and become a certified technician one day.
