How To Adopt

1. If you are interested in any of our adoptable pets, the first step would be to fill out one of the following adoption applications:

BAF Canine Adoption Application

BAF Feline Adoption Application

2. The next step is to come up and meet the pet. If the pet is located at Briarcliff Animal Clinic, you may come to meet the pet anytime while the clinic is open. If the pet you are interested in is located in a foster home, please contact the foster parents and set up a time to meet. You may either meet with them at the clinic, or set up a time to meet with them outside the clinic. THE ONLY WAY TO “HOLD” A PET IS TO PAY THE ADOPTION FEE.

3. When you are sure that you want to adopt this pet, you will need to come pick the pet up at Briarcliff Animal Clinic. If your pet is in a foster home, the foster parents will meet you at the clinic with the pet. You will meet with a doctor at the clinic. The doctor will discuss vaccine dates, any tests that have been run, any medical issues, any medications this pet may be on, and will also answer any questions you may have. At that time, you may take your new pet home.

You will have a 3 week trial period. If you decide that you do not want your new pet within 3 weeks of adoption, you may return the pet and get your adoption fee back. If you decide that you do not want your new pet after that 3 week period, we ask that you return the pet to us, but you will not get your adoption fee back.

Our adoption fees are as follows:

Cat/kitten adoption fee: $95

Dog/puppy adoption fee: $135
